Sitting
sadly
alone
with
others
in the room,
searching,
living,
struggling
through
a
solitary
mortal
existence;
seeing,
sensing
an
eternal
clarity
and
acting
on
this
mystery–
finding
one
another

Floating
through
the
air
as
seemingly
important
events
take
place
on
life’s
stage
The
eyes
and
mind
are
transfixed
on
the
off-stage
moments

Short
locks
of hair
cut
with
short fingers
remind
of simpler
times
and
clearer
choices

I
desire
Roses
to
smell
As
I read
in
quiet
solitude
but
I
tire
as
life
only
sparingly
permits
me
to enter
that
peaceful
moment

Walking the glittering hallways lined with shops, I think of my family and my heart warms. The dark wood floors reflect the images of their longlasting love. Shops full of desires may distract, but only for a moment and then my mind returns to true desires.

I forgive
myself
for
being
me
and
not
the other

Rain whispers quietly
against the glass
as I sit her looking
as the once forbidden lands
My mind’s eye
now aware of the vision
of the Other
has opened the windows
and brushes past my cheek
My future is now
living on the
other side of a parted
barrier
where rain now falls
more loudly

Birds
fly
in
scattered unison
while
the window
seperates
the
inside
from
the green
hills
beyond
as
I sit
yearning
for
change

As
we divide
ourselves
in two
and in
two again
unity
fails
And
the
selfless
become
selfish
ever
dividing
unitl
chaos
seperates
infinately

The
impoverished
veiled
woman
sits
on the side
of the road
in the
rubble
of
older buildings
forgotten
and
overshadowed
by
sparkling
structures
and
the
glittering
things
of
others
